found photography at 16, in the squat, techno and activist scene of 90’s east Berlin. Following a technical photography apprenticeship, he worked as a photojournalist and after showing his pictures to friends in the art world, began to be programmed in museums in the early 2000‘s. Julian addresses questions of political economy, looking at the policing of bodies, geoterritorial contours and the market.
